Vistas Dining Room: Discover Banff’s Scenic Culinary Experience

One of the Best places to dine In Banff. Great view of the valley durronded by the mountains and awesome service on top. Executive buffet excellent wine selection and also fine dining at Three Ravens.

The buffet here is good but can be better. The service can be improved to take into consideration the need to cater to all and sundry irrespective of their ages or creeds.

Great breakfast buffet and some of the best restaurant views in Banff. The buffet had lots of selection and even gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. We wished there was toast, but there were other pastries and French toast. Unfortunately, the service was not great. The servers paid little attention and it took a long time to get coffee.

Went for dinner here last Saturday night. We try to make a point of trying somewhere new to eat each time we go to Banff. This place did not disappoint! A stunning restaurant with amazing views. Polite, attentive staff, and the food was amazing. Good value , especially for Banff. This may be a place we visit more than once!!

There's a handful of reviews that made me a little nervous about a large family dinner we booked here, but we had an amazing experience. It's not a sprawling buffet with neverending options, but there was a solid selection of between 6-8 each of salads, mains and desserts. The food was incredible. I don't think I was disappointed by anything and after talking to the staff I found out that they recommend groups of 4+ call ahead so they can prepare food quantities accordingly. Their philosophy is sustainable, locally sourced and/or inspired dishes and they try to minimize food waste as much as possible. I recommend coming earlier during the seating time because they do close the buffet promptly at close and they may run low on food, especially if you haven't called ahead for your party. The salads were delicious, I tried elk au jus and discovered how incredible it is, and the desserts were delightful. Dinner for an adult was $42, children under 12 are half price, and 5 and under eat free. I know it might seem pricey, but the food quality is more like a sit down meal, and I can't think of a nice 3 course meal where I could have as large a portion as I would like for that price. I knew it was a winner when my South Asian dad was so impressed that he arranged to come back the next day. Oh, and to top it all off, it's wall to wall windows with incredible views of Banff and the mountain ranges.

Unforgettable food - Unforgettable view I’m at the Banff Centre for meetings every couple years and have been coming for 18 years and the Vista Dining room is what wows our groups each time. Creative food, every day! Even the eggs each morning are so consistent: Creamy, fluffy, heaven. They often make fresh ice cream, it is always unforgettable. The staff are so polite and hospitable. But here’s the thing - it’s called “Vistas” for a reason. Good gracious that view!!!! There’s a walkway outside the main doors coming in and each day, I love to watch people pause, look at the view and it’s so clear that in that moment they are grateful to be alive. *Secret tip if you’re in a big group. They put down pitchers of ice tea and lemonade but if you want a soda, just ask. Most people figure this out after a couple days. Let me save you that time.
